Review by hotel critic
Tudor House in Dungarvan provides a surprisingly excellent balance of comfort and value, especially for those seeking a cozy base for exploring Ireland's rugged landscapes. My recent stay revealed spacious accommodations with four beds, perfect for families. The room featured essential amenities such as an electric kettle, flat-screen TV, and hot showers, striking a practical note for travelers. The hotel's location is commendable, right in the heart of Dungarvan, making local attractions easily accessible. A two-minute walk to the square offers a variety of delightful breakfast options that are well-worth venturing out for. What truly stood out was the staff. Declan and his team went above and beyond by providing early luggage storage and ensuring our bikes were secured overnight. The bar area boasted a lively atmosphere, and we enjoyed relaxing there after a day of hiking. While Tudor House does not serve breakfast, the combination of attentive service, spacious rooms, and a prime location reflects remarkable value for money, particularly for last-minute bookings. I would certainly consider returning on my next photographic journey.
